Launch of Alba 2030

A New Dawn for Gaelic Games in Scotland 🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This marks an exciting new chapter for Gaelic Games in Scotland, building on the tremendous progress made in recent years, while setting out a clear and ambitious vision for our future.

Our ambition is not simply to grow Gaelic Games, but to ensure that growth is sustainable, inclusive, and meaningful for generations to come.

Alba 2030 is built around three key pillars:

🏐 Games – Creating more meaningful playing opportunities, strengthening the Gaelic Games player pathways, and supporting participation across all ages, abilities, and codes.

🤝 People – Investing in our volunteers, high- quality coaches and referees through a truly inclusive community– the driving force behind Gaelic Games in Scotland.

🌱 Resources – Building sustainable funding, strengthening partnerships, and developing the facilities and infrastructure needed to secure our future, including our ambition to redevelop Pearse Park. Including our Club Alba Initiative in support of the Pearse Park Centre for Culture and Sport 🏟

Central to this strategy is our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring that Gaelic Games remain welcoming and accessible to everyone, regardless of background. ☂️

As we navigate the integration of our Gaelic Games organisations, we have a unique opportunity to build stronger structures, encourage greater collaboration, and create a shared vision for the future. 🤝

None of this would be possible without the extraordinary commitment of our clubs, volunteers, players, and officers, who continue to give so much to our community.

It was a particular privilege to welcome Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns to Scotland to share in this important milestone as well as the launch of the inaugural Club Alba coffee morning ☕️- an essential part of our funding strategy.

Alba 2030 is more than a strategic plan. It is a commitment to our people, our communities, and the future of Gaelic Games in Scotland.

Now comes the important part — turning ambition into action.

Ar aghaidh linn! 💚 🚀
